On our campus and in the community, Clark College is a leader.

Throughout the year, through our participation in events on our campus and in the community, Clark College enriches the social, cultural and economic vitality of our region and the global community.  Here are some of highlights from 2006.

Our 2006 Student Welcome Day brought a feeling of celebration and connection to new students and their families.

Washington Governor Chris Gregoire was keynote speaker at Clark College's 2006 Commencement.

Clark College played a leadership role in the 2006 Bi-State Metropolitan Forum, attracting, civic, business and educational leaders from Washington and Oregon.
  

In 2006, Clark College celebrated the Clark Center at Washington State University Vancouver, the next step in a long-standing educational partnership.


In 2006, Clark College launched a Distinguished Lecture Series by welcoming Dr. Jeffrey Wigand, the former tobacco industry executive who spoke out on the industry's health safety issues in a landmark 60 Minutes interview and became the basis for Russell Crowe's character in the film “The Insider.”

 

 

 

Clark College student leaders met with Washington legislative leaders during the 2006 legislative session in Olympia.
