FAIR WEATHER AHEAD
Over 4,600 visitors to the 2006 Clark County Fair
took The Next Step and learned about the exciting classes being offered this
fall at all Clark College locations -- the main campus, Town Plaza and the
Clark Center at WSU Vancouver. |
| |
|

Throughout the fair, Clark College hosted a
booth in the new, air-conditioned Clark County Exhibition Hall.
Through high-speed Internet access, guests at
the college's booth were able to surf the Clark College website,
apply online for admissions through Quick Step and even register online.
 |
Staff
members and student ambassadors were available to answer questions to
help visitors take “The Next Step” for classes, certificates and degrees.
Visitors also obtained information and literature about financial aid,
English as a Second Language classes, continuing education, worker
retraining and an assortment of other educational interests.
|
The College's fall 2006 schedule was available
as well as the latest brochures about the rich variety of programs that the
college offers.
In addition, Penguin pride was showing at the new
Penguin tattoo station -- offering free, washable tattoos for youngsters (of
all ages).
 |
A showcase for the county's rich agricultural
heritage, the Clark County Fair has grown into the largest single-location
annual event in the Vancouver/Portland area. Voted Clark County's "Best
Outdoor Event/Festival" by The Columbian newspaper reader poll for
three consecutive years, the Clark County Fair has become what organizers
call the "Summer's Best Party!" |
