Tamis Root

Tamis Root is an adjunct faculty member in Chemistry at Clark College.  She joined the College in January of 2001. 

A graduate of The University of Idaho, Tamis earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry with a Masters of Science Degree in Food Science and Technology from Washington State University.

Tamis specializes in the Chemistry of Foods and effects of processing on the chemistry and nutrition of food products.  In industry she has served as Research Director for a large food processor, and has owned and operated Analytical Testing Laboratories certified by the EPA, Department of Health and Department of Ecology.
