Steven Clark

Steven Clark is a Biology Instructor at Clark College.  He has worked as an adjunct faculty member in the math and biology departments at Clark since 2000.  As of September 2004, he teaches full time in the biology department.

Steven completed his undergraduate work at Linfield College in Oregon then received a Masters’ Degree in teaching from Lewis and Clark College and finally, a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Portland State University.

Steven taught K-12 grade for the Washington School for the Deaf in Vancouver for 15 years prior to pursuing his science degree and becoming an instructor at the college.  He has also served as a coach for several high school teams and currently volunteers for the Clark College women’s volleyball team.

Steven lives in Washougal, close to the Columbia River Gorge.  Taking advantage of the proximity to the grand wilderness areas nearby, Steven volunteers with botany research projects and natural ecosystem stewardship.  Also keeping him outdoors, he has led a field research team in studies of the Washington State endangered western pond turtle since 2000.
