Dr. Sandra Haigh

Dr. Sandra L. Haigh is a Biology Instructor at Clark College.  She joined the faculty of Clark College in September of 1999.  She is a graduate of the University of Nevada, where she earned a doctorate degree in Biology. She has earned an M.S. degree in Biology from Texas A&M University and a B.S. degree in Wildlife Biology from Washington State University.

Sandy specializes in vertebrate ecology, specifically the effects of exotic species on their populations. She has established and currently maintains Clark College’s Natural History Museum. She participates in community events that focus on environmental issues, especially the removal of invasive, exotic plants. She also supports efforts to establish landscaping projects that use native plant species and has won 2 awards from the City of Las Vegas, NV for a home xeriscaping project.
