Nicholas Charles Forrest earned his B.A. in Political Science from St. Josephs College of Philadelphia. Continuing his studies at Northwestern University of Evanston, Illinois, he earned an M.A. and a Ph.D., both in Political Science. His doctoral dissertation was an international comparative study of the organizational behavior of terrorist groups. He has taught at Hartwick College and Siena College in New York state, and Eastern Oregon State University. His course offerings include American Government, International Relations, State and Local Politics, and Environmental Politics. He currently teaches Political Science and Geography at Clark College in Vancouver, WA. During his career he has presented conference papers on environmental politics, political humor, terrorism, and religion and politics. Dr. Forrest is a longtime active member of the Sierra Club and more recently, Washington Conservation Voters. His upcoming research work will explore the organizational behavior of environmental groups in the United States and Western Europe. He plans to spend academic year 2005-2006 in Ireland doing research.
