Lisa Conway is a Professor of Art at Clark College. She joined the faculty in 2003. A graduate of Louisiana State University, Lisa earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in 1993. She previously earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Michigan, and has also studied at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in Maine. Lisa specializes in Ceramic art. Besides teaching pottery, ceramic sculpture and art appreciation classes, Lisa is a nationally recognized artist in her own right. She was recently chosen from over 900 applicants to be one of 30 artists selected for the 2003 Oregon Biennial exhibition at the Portland Art Museum. Other accomplishments include selection as a finalist for the 2003 Elizabeth Founder's Prize in the Ceramic Arts, and inclusion in the 2003 National Conference for Education in the Ceramic Arts juried exhibition. She has had several solo exhibitions of her work. Lisa is an active member of the Oregon Potter's Association.
