David Caldwell
is an instructor of Health and Physical Education at Clark
College, where he also serves as the Head Men’s and Women’s Cross
Country and Track and Field Coach. He joined Clark College in
spring of 2003 as an assistant in track and began teaching at Clark
the following fall quarter. David has a Bachelor of Science Degree
in Exercise Science from Eastern Washington University, as well as a
Master’s Degree of Science in Sport Psychology. He also hosts Sport
Psychology seminars for various clinics, particularly the Sport
Psychology Institute Northwest.
David began his
teaching career in 1996 at the Community Colleges of Spokane, then
moved with his wife to the Portland-metro area in 2002 and began
teaching at both Mt. Hood Community College and Portland Community
College. David enjoys working with the staff and faculty of Clark,
particularly within the department of Physical Education and Health
where they have provided him with positive examples of leadership
and dedication to making Clark College an excellent institution.
